RASMUSSEN GEMS AND JEWELRY LLC

Jewelry, looking for something a bit different than what every store in your local mall carries. If so, I highly recommend Rasmussen Gems & Jewelry LLC on Handmade Artists Shop.  Here, you will find
jewelry and gemstones  handcrafted in John and Debora's  shop. Debora does the designing and beading necklaces, anklets, bracelets, ear rings, and key chains. John does lapidary to cut the gemstones, metalsmithing (silver and copper) to make the jewelry and wire wrapping.
If you want a custom design, just send them a message through the shop.. Custom orders are always accepted.  Gem identification and appraisal services are also available. How cool is that?

John isn't your typical self taught lapidary grinding away in the garage type person.  He was educated at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  He also taught geology for ten years, and after switching careers for a while, he is back to his love of rocks, minerals. and gems.  John has also been educated in Gemology including jewelry design and repair at the International Gem Society, Gemological Institute of America and Penn Foster Career School.

Looking for a cool stone cabochon for a special something you want to create? You will find 6 pages of a variety of stones and cuts including this lovely Mossy Agate Cabochon. Gorgeous!

Or perhaps a classy facet cut? He has those too!  This Citrine Checkerboard Gemstone is amazing!

Besides cutting these beautiful gems and stones, he also makes some very nice jewelry too.  Besides using cast settings, he also does some very nice wire wrapping.  Love this Forest Agate Sterling Silver Pendant.

John's wife Debora, does all the bead design & crafting.  She doesn't make just necklaces, she also makes matching earrings sold with her gorgeous designs.
This Necklace and Earring Set 1053 really caught my eye. Such wonderful colors!

This very sweet pink Necklace and Earring Set 1034 reminds me of my very sweet granddaughter, Evie.  But, she'll have to wait since she's only 4!

Remember,  Rasmussen Gems and Jewelry LLC also do custom orders as well as gem and stone identification, just send them a message through the shop.

You can also find them on their blog and facebook

ArtFireCrazyTrain Rider Just Fabulous Darlin

It's a bright and sunny day, and it's supposed to be in the low 70's today - Yay!  Spring is finally here!

And Just Fabulous Darlin has some perfect jewelry for spring

well, for anytime really! lo

Doesn't this Blue & White Porcelain Beaded Bracelet remind you of the deep blue sea?  I can also see this paired with an all white outfit (I'm such the fashionista! lo)

When I saw this lovely Real-Pearls-Glass Pearls Gemstone Bracelet, I thought oh that would be so cool if it's an anklet - it's a bracelet - mmmm maybe an extension???  I'm all about dresses & skirts in the spring and summer and love anklets too!

I love flowers, and dragonflies are such amazing little creatures, and look, this cool bead on this very pretty Blue Lampwork Bead and Czech Fire Polished Bead Bracelet has both!

mmmm I have several outfits that all three of these very cool bracelets by Just Fabulous Darlin would go with.  Oh yeah, there are necklaces, earrings, men's jewelry, and more!

And the littlesister/littlebrother tag-a-longs:

BlueMorningExpressions with some fabulous creations in polymer clay.  You can get some really cool beads like these Polymer Clay Floral Round Beads to create your own jewelry or choose from some fabulous jewelry this creative artisan has already made.  Oh yeah, there are polymer clay canes too!

It's a jewelry kind of day!
I love the jewelry creations in PaleMoonCreations  This Twisted Princess AlteredArt Charm Bracelet reminds me of one of my favorite movies Nightmare Before Christmas.

I love the jewelry in all these shops!!!

Yes, it is definitely a jewelry kind of day today!   I didn't get very far in DianesDangles before this Blue Glass Leaves White LampworkBeaded Silver chain Bracelet caught my eye.
Yes, of course it's blue!

Oh the wonders of artisans who create handmade jewelry - 4 different people who create very different jewelry from each other.   I'd be willing to bet you could give all 4 of them the same beads, same findings, and they would come up with different creations!
You get the benefit of owning something that 10,000 other people don't!  Most often these artisans make well made items and stand by their product.  Go shopping from the comfort of your home, and then go show off your fabulous finds doing something fun with some friends.  Don't be stingy now, tell them where you found it!  There's more than enough to go around.
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful spring day!

Me? I've got to do some cleaning & rearranging , my daughter & grand kids will be here Sat!  And I need to finish quilting the quilt I'm making for my youngest granddaughter.

Would love to hear what you think about some of these lovely finds!

Another Wonderful Etsy Hostie

Her name is Jeanette, but she goes by Maisy! What a fun name! I'm amazed by this wonderfully sweet person and all that she does.
Besides having 2 shops on etsy, she keeps up the blog for HOST, is in the team forum thread giving everyone encouragement where needed, compliments, hugs, short chats, more hugs and some thawks!
From her profile she says this about herself:
"was raised in lush, tropical St Lucia in the Caribbean and I firmly believe that gave me my magpie eye for rich colours and textures. My designs are often inspired just by the materials that I work with and my combinations are intended to bring out the best in the stones, and to be comfortable and unselfconscious for you to wear. "
I love that "magpie eye" description. Magpies are great at finding little jewels. So this seems to be fitting because she does have some pretty jewels in her shop. Maisy resides in Dorset, UK.

Maisy also occasionally visits my flickr page and leaves me some fun comments, I'm not sure how she keeps up with everything she does!

The beautiful long strand of pearls is from her http://maisyh.etsy.com/ shop. I think those are so elegant -
and the necklace with the different blue beads is from her http://mcnovelties.etsy.com/ shop.

That's one of the really cool thing about Maisy's designs, she does simple but nice items that you can wear during the day or night - to more elegant and dressy designs like the long strand of pearls.
Her blog: http://teaandjewels.blogspot.com/
And her other blog: http://maisyh.blogspot.com/

and Host: http://helpingothersstreetteam.blogspot.com/
Where she does a beautiful job of writing about team members and their shops.

I probably don't do half of what she does, and I can't keep up with it all!
Go, check out her shops - remember Christmas is right around the corner!

Have a wonderful day.
